One of the first part of the show at Antwerp’s Academy was Fashion Graphics adapted to the body. The first year students have to develop a very visual, detail and clear way of drawing. So Fashion Graphics become a mean of communication.
They mix various techniques (basic and digital), use differents materials to create contemporary images and silhouettes in their own personal style.
After all the collection have to be true to the drawings, not just a sketch, but what Yvonne Dekock, lecturer in Fashion Graphics, call a ‘visual silence’: a clear drawing with a startling element.
Below some photos of the collection made by first year students, as usual an astonishing work based on the shapes.
