The smile was « on » this afternoon at Paris Fashion Week…
This season Yoshiyuki Miyamae was inspired by nature, a reccuring theme for the house, as the huge prints that we began to see last season and even during summer 2002 (see here).
With big smiling faces and a hairdressing that make them look little sparrows, the models bring us a breeze of natural fresh air and seems ready to take off. The pleats outfits are light, the fabrics are fluid and the suppleness is visually enhanced by the large collars on the jackets and coats. The volumes of the jackets, pants, skirts seems confortable and « easy-and-happy to wear ».
The colors pops. Some gigantic prints looks like a super zoom on deconstructed tartans or hound’s tooth, giving a very graphic and modern (unfortunately these designs didn’t exist for men) look to the collection.
It was a very pleasant show.
